PG TIPS

It is a brand of tea originally from UK. In the 1930s launched Brooke Bond PG Tips tea market in the UK under the pre-Gest-Tee name. The name suggests that tea can be drunk before eating food, as a digestive aid.

The tea bags were launched with a chain in 1985. In 1956 they started using chimpanzees in their advertisements these were dressed in human clothes and were known as the “Tipps family”.In 1958 PG Tips was up from fourth to First on the market for British tea. These ads were arrested in 1970 after complaints of organizations of animal rights. But sales fell and chimpanzees were buying back 18 months later.

The latest announcement “Tipps family” was broadcast in 2002.These chimps were replaced by the T-Birds. The company created a cup called “Gromit” during these promotion sales increased 600 per cent.

PG Tips makes good advertisements and very good promotions that help to increase their sales. Currently the official headquarters is in Manchester, England.
